He spent $5.5m to build a sci-fi hotel on a piece of desert he bought for $110k.

I’ve know Travis for a couple of years and watching him build what he’s building with @outpost.x … I have to say, the vision and risk he takes with hospitality is second to none. 🤯

And it’s paying off. He’s now raising $32m to expand with more concepts and locations across the country.

HOW TO LIVE ON ANOTHER PLANET 🪐🏜️

@outpost.x offers several completely different ways to stay, and each one gives you a unique experience of life in the middle of the desert. 🚀✨

Our absolute favorites are the Zen Dome and Cave Villas. 🤍

🌌 Zen Dome is our biggest love. A futuristic dome with huge panoramic windows, a king-size bed, private kitchen, and bathroom. During the day, the desert becomes part of the interior, and at night, you can watch the incredible starry sky almost straight from your bed.

🏜️ Cave Villas offer a completely different experience. They feel as if they were built right into the desert landscape, while inside you’ll find spacious beds, a private kitchen, a bathroom with a rainfall shower, Wi-Fi, climate control, and an incredibly cozy atmosphere.

✨ There’s also the Glass Cave Villa with huge windows overlooking the desert, Viking Tents with a real bed, AC, and Wi-Fi for a true glamping experience, as well as the Moroccan Cave Pod, RV, and camping options.

And when it comes to things to do…

You can explore the endless Mud Lake playa on a Sand Cruiser 🪐, ride across the desert in a six-wheeled Argo, discover unusual art installations, relax at X-Spa with a sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge, or spend time at the atmospheric Kaan Lounge with drums, handpans, and singing bowls. 🎶🔥

And at least once, you have to cook dinner over an open fire. 🥩🔥 We grilled steaks, meat, and vegetables almost every day, watched the sunset, and then stepped outside to admire an unbelievable sky filled with stars. 🌅🌌

But the most important thing to do here is simply breathe and enjoy life. 🤍

Time seems to slow down at Outpost X. There’s no need to rush or try to fit everything into a schedule. You can wake up in the middle of the desert, feel the absolute silence, watch the sky change, see the sun disappear behind the horizon, and truly experience every moment.

Here, life itself becomes an adventure. ✨

And for us, that might be the greatest luxury of Outpost X.

AWAKEN FESTIVAL 2026 × OUTPOST X 🪐✨

There are festivals you go to for the music. And then there are festivals that leave you with an entire story to take home.

That’s exactly what @awaken.utah 2026 became for us. 🤍

This August, we returned to our beloved @outpost.x , but this time, our other planet had completely transformed. For a few unforgettable days, the endless Utah desert became a whole new world filled with music, art, lights, and incredible people with truly unreal energy. ✨

During the day, we danced beneath the open sky. In the evening, we watched breathtaking sunsets, and at night, the desert came alive with lights, lasers, and the rhythms of house & techno. 🎶🔥🌅

One of our favorite discoveries was THMPSN, blending electronic music with live violin. 🎻 And one of the festival’s tiniest stars was 5-year-old DJ Lee Lee. Seeing her behind the decks at a real music festival was absolutely incredible. 🤍

But Awaken was so much more than music.

A huge 17,000-gallon pool, a dance floor in the middle of the desert, yoga, breathwork, meditation, sauna, hot tubs, cold plunges, Sand Cruisers, music, dancing, and new connections. Somehow, the energy and freedom of a festival existed perfectly alongside the absolute stillness of the desert. 💦🧘‍♀️🔥

And that contrast is exactly what we fell in love with.

Dancing late into the night, waking up to the silence of another planet, spending the day surrounded by amazing people, and then losing ourselves in the music beneath an endless sky all over again. 🌌

We travel a lot, but some experiences simply can’t be compared to anything else. Awaken 2026 was one of those experiences for us.

Music. Desert. Freedom. Beautiful people. Sunsets. Stars. And a few unforgettable days when the ordinary world simply disappeared. 🤍

Some festivals you attend.
Some festivals you experience.
And some make you forget what planet you’re on. 🪐✨
