Repairing some damage to a factory coloured front door & window sill. Unlike the factory, we use 2k acrylic car paint instead of pvcu paint because it doesn't fade in the sun & is much more durable to scratches

PLEASE READ: One of my biggest gripes with social media is the need for people to lie about their history. The sneaker community in the UK grew from small family gatherings , showing off your kicks to your mates on your street, to going up town amd getting complimented on your style and ability to " flex " your trainers with your jacket / jeans / shellsuit etc.

It's important that this history is preserved . Because its foundation. The diamond socks inside out was only known to certain crews and groups affiliated to certain cultures within the community.

The 8 ball jackets, the @avirexusa_eu the starters and the naf naf, the Joe bloggs, Best Company; the Campri and the C&A, the benetton were staples of our 80s lives. The Con's with the rolled up socks behind the tongue, the fila trailblazers and the NB 710H fold over tongues , the pony line backers, the samba supers and the tango kicks , the air max didn't even have numbers and the torsion bars did contain kevlar and the reebok classics were not yet a prison shoe, and the amount of tags you had hanging off your wallabees and kickers meant something about your status.

We went shops and both shoes were on the rack, Not just one. We bought magazines to see the latest styles , we connected through common interest locally.

We were blessed by being the generation that would send postal orders off to get shoes from pull outs in newspapers and smash hits and match and shoot , dependent on your City , you could only get certain football team shirts, there were no 3rd kits.

We had to wait 18 months to get Rocky V on video to rent not buy , we had to wait for shoes to drop here months even years after they dropped stateside .

We learned to cherish what we had and we taught the kids around us how to look after their kicks because we cared about looking good but also staying fresh .

Please don't infiltrate this community and steal our stories . We lived it , in times of national strikes , wars and riots , we treasured the music , the soul of our community , the artistry which our parents may not have understood .

Please understand that when You see the history of sneakers, We lived it.

I'd happily bring back FCFS at any store in any area . The issues are about respect. As spoken about before Christmas, @offspringhq still had issues with drops that were raffle wins where you had to only enter for one model and couldn't win both. If 2023 is to be a better year for drops and wins and maybe FCFS making a comeback then realise that you can't force your way in to something that was there before you got there. You can't bully up the young quiet kids in places 1-6 because you have 4 or 5 people with you . Let those people keep their place and protect their position , in turn that builds strength in numbers for when the next group try it. Eventually there are 40 of you out early that will all outnumber the bigger crews that wanna come out at 6am on the morning of the drop and demand they go first. This is where you show what you're made of . I once was in Bristol at @size_bs1_bristol i was 4th and 5th in the queue when the satin j1s dropped and wanted them for my daughter. Then 2 bullies came to cut the line and made threats to deal with us in the queue . That couldn't happen . So rather than get in to it I took them to the side and told them it aunt how it works they were having mone of it . Because I had a child with me I knew I wasn't gonna put her at risk . So I put her in my car right outside the shop. Then I told every fucker in the queue to pay me £70 each . 7 people. Only 5 pairs of shoes . 5 x 70 from the people if I leave . Resell for them was 420 overnight . If you want me to leave the queue it's gonna cost you resell to have my places. rather than leave the queue the two at the front who pushed in realised they hadn't got the extra 70 to pay up and keep their places but every other member was willing to secure their pair for the extra 70 quid . Needless to say they were then outnumbered and left..Moral of the story is this. Not every confrontation has to be head on . Sometimes you can be smarter and form a team that makes it impossible for others to push in without consequence . If we aren't gonna stick together in 2023 then change the phrase " sneaker community" to " destroying community " because ultimately that's what you'll do
