The path to purpose is often times laced with pain. Before God elevates you He will reveal the hearts of those in your circle because everybody isn’t called to your next season.

Through the test of time, pruning, and refining, there are parts of my circle that have remained SOLID. My girl @shewinninginlife_ was persistent about securing us a couple of tickets to one of @usher final shows in Vegas and DID!

After nearly 30 years of friendship this was our 1st time traveling together in adulthood. I got “flewed out 😆” for just over 24 hours to ditch all of my responsibilities and live it up in Vegas. We sang, we danced, we ate good, we reminisced, we laughed.

God never intended for us to do life alone, I’m so grateful I’ve never had to. 🫶🏽

I’ve spent much of this year compiling a list of “aha” moments I’ve experienced over time with the intent to share 40 of them to celebrate my 40th birthday.

I’ve been reading #TheFourAgreements and instead, the aha moment that resonates the loudest is this:

BE FREE!

The book talks about how the only truly free people in this world are toddlers. They aren’t afraid to express how they feel, they aren’t afraid to love and be loved, they aren’t afraid of the future or ashamed of their past. At some point life changes you and for most of us it’s a struggle to ever get back to a free way of living.

In a nutshell, the key to getting back to that place requires this 👇🏽

🔆 Be impeccable with your word
🔆 Don’t take anything personally
🔆 Don’t make assumptions
🔆 Always do your best

1 out of 4 ain’t bad but I have a lot of work to do. 🥴 Cheers to the next 365 🥂and getting FREEEEEEEEEEE! 🙌🏽
