Young New Yorkers fighting for climate justice 🌱
Join us ⬇️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Young people are leading New York forward.

At YOCCF, we back citywide youth movements that are changing our communities. Young people are not waiting for permission. They are setting the agenda, building the power, and winning.

Hear it from young people.

Want to see this work up close? Watch the video from our Organizing Lab, hosted at The Brotherhood Sister Sol, where over 90+ youth and allies from across 19 organizations throughout the city gathered to learn, strategize, and connect. In this video you will hear from youth organizers sharing what they are fighting for, what they are building, and what it takes to win. It is the best way to understand what we mean when we say young people are leading.

Join us.

Our youngest VIPs deserve A/C!

🍎📚 New Yorkers know the greatest city in the world should have the best education system in the world. 🗽✏️

Our teachers are already world-class. But our buildings? Not so much.

Right now, our school buildings are worn out and uncomfortable, and the state refuses to fund the upgrades our kids deserve.

Sign the petition at the link in our bio to demand full upgrades with efficient HVAC, green schoolyards, rooftop solar, and help build beautiful, resilient schools!

Last week, we called on Mayor Mamdani to fulfill his climate promises.

Energy bills are skyrocketing and the worsening effects of climate change are being felt across our city. Zohran promised to make NYC a city we can afford but by hesitating to fulfill his commitments on climate, we're forced to pay the price of increasing energy prices and unclean air.

For lower bills, good jobs, and air we can breathe, we need the mayor to:

1. Clean up pollution from buildings
2. Invest in green, healthy schools, and
3. Fight fossil fuel infrastructure

To send a message to @nycmayor and ensure he keeps his promises on climate, head to the link in our bio!
