Last year, after I learned some basics of FPV, I told a friend:
I don’t just want to fly and shoot views, I want to chase cars, shoot action, and make this not-so-cheap hobby pay for itself.

Fast forward to the end of 2025 and… I’m here.

Huge thanks to everyone who trusted me, supported me, brought me along, and gave honest feedback along the way. You helped make this possible!

The next goal now is to work with brands I genuinely love - like @redbullusa and @porsche …😃
Let’s keep pushing 🤙🏻

DOWNTOEARTH ASCEND FT. @ppir

Long post alert 🚨

An emotional post to say the least. We’ve brought together all corners of the community in a place that truly feels like family. Something about the Down To Earth crowd that always brings such a huge smile to my face. Over 4,000 people and guess what? No fights. No drama. Nothing but love. Something that is becoming unique to the DTE environment.

I’ve been running DTE since 2016, and every year never ceases to amaze me. From our first event with 600 people at Adams County, to hosting events at the legendary Broncos stadium, to a full scale motorsports event at none other than @ppir.

Cars have become my life. I started working in @formulad 4 years ago, and this event was a culmination of all my passions.

I work tirelessly on these events for the community. From the t shirt designs, to the marketing, to the contracts and funding, to the responding to emails and securing sponsorships, it’s been me. Let me not forget my absolutely beautiful staff that ensures each and every one of you has the time of your lives. But this, this event, is all YOU. The community.

I feel we all had our moment underneath the fireworks where this all felt bigger than us. It’s so important to support @ppir in everything they do as they age the track that keeps this community alive. They are everything we have wanted, and they all deserve our love and appreciation.

Thank you for supporting DOWNTOEARTH. Thank you for showing the news stations that this is a community worth protecting. Thank you for showing enormous brands that our community is special and deserving of their involvement.

And thank you all for being DOWNTOEARTH. This is our mission, and we’re all living it.

NEXT UP, BRONCOS STADIUM AKA MILE HIGH V!

Sincerely,

AJ Ranasinghe
