A taste of the REAL Ibiza, right here in Amsterdam! 🌴🔥

When you think of Ibiza, you probably picture turquoise waters, beautiful beaches and legendary nightlife. But there’s a whole other side to the island that deserves just as much attention: its incredible food culture.

On October 8th, I was invited to a very special culinary evening at Nela Amsterdam, organised by @eatinginibiza to celebrate the island’s authentic flavours, local producers and centuries of culinary traditions.

For this exclusive dinner, @nela.restaurant chef and cofounder Hari Shetty joined forces with Óscar Salazar, Executive Chef at @nela.ibiza . The two already work together at Nela Ibiza, where the restaurant’s signature open fire cooking meets the Mediterranean flavours of the island.

And what a menu! From Ibiza’s famous red prawns and freshly caught fish to traditional sobrasada with local honey, Porc Negre and a modern interpretation of the island’s traditional Flaó cheesecake. Every dish had its own story, celebrating the people, ingredients and traditions behind it.

What I loved most was discovering a side of Ibiza that goes so far beyond what the island is usually famous for. And experiencing it through Nela’s incredible cooking made it even more special.

A beautiful reminder that Ibiza has so much more to offer than beaches and parties. And if you can’t make it to the island just yet, Nela Amsterdam is definitely a good place to start. ❤️

Last night, we discovered a different side of Ibiza at Nela Amsterdam, where the island’s rich culinary heritage took centre stage.

Nela chefs @hari_shetty15 and Ori Geller joined forces with @osruano, Executive Chef of 7Pines Resort Ibiza, for a special gastronomic dinner celebrating the authentic flavours of the island.

The chefs already share a culinary connection through Nela’s summer residency at 7Pines Resort Ibiza, making this collaboration a natural reunion.

From locally caught seafood and traditional Ibizan ingredients to slow-cooked Porc Negre pork belly, every dish told a story of the island’s land, sea and culinary traditions.

A beautiful reminder that Ibiza has so much more to offer than stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. Its food scene deserves just as much attention.

Thank you @eatinginibiza for this delicious journey to Ibiza, without leaving Amsterdam.

Because what even is a broodje kaas?

Life’s too short for short lunches. Make it a proper one: good food, a bottle on the table, maybe a cocktail after… and absolutely no reason to rush.

Long lunches at @salut_a_amsterdam. The way afternoons were meant to be spent. 🥂

THIS is what I call ‘a lunch with style’ ✨

High quality French-Asian cuisine, two floors including a chef’s table at the bar with a view of the kitchen crew preparing deliciousness at the upper level, swinging nights with a dj, special events (a sake makers dinner coming up) and when the sun’s out a front row seat of Amsterdam’s lively vibes, beautiful architecture and nightlife icons. Need we say more? Except to hurry up and make that reservation asap 😏

Hello Leidseplein 2.0. ROTATE is zo’n plek waar je blij van wordt en je favoriete outfit voor aantrekt. Prachtig interieur, uitzonderlijk goede bediening en Franse finesse met Aziatische invloeden. En je MOET de Balfegó tonijn proeven. Go.

Nieuwe tip bij het Leidseplein. ❤️‍🔥

Sake erbij, of twee.

@rotate.amsterdam , my new Amsterdam favourite, for so many reasons.

A beautifully central setting, an elegant terrace made for summer, and a warm, personal service you rarely find in the city (merci @gio.ws_ !🌹)

But the best reason to return? The sushi. Impeccable in every bite, beautifully crafted and effortlessly refined with three cuts of exceptional tuna stealing the show.

A new favourite, without a doubt. Thank you, @trees_comms , for the introduction. You certainly have an eye for the good ones.
