The record label told Missy Elliott she was “too big” and “too dark” to be in 5 year old Raven-Symoné’s music video.

They used Missy Elliott’s vocals, BUT had a skinny light skinned body double in her place….. This influenced Missy’s decision to use an inflated trash bag in her iconic “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” video!

In the alternate ending of ‘Twitches Too’ it is revealed that the twin’s biological mom, Miranda is also an identical twin to her sister Minerva. This would’ve set up the third movie.

This ending is also why the title of the movie is ‘Twitches Too’ as in “also” instead of “Twitches Two”! @tiamowry @tameramowryhousley

EKU’s CMS 275 (Communication Skills for Professionals) welcomed alumni Latrell Floyd and Aaron Perkins back into the communications classroom to discuss personal branding and how your portrayal on social media can affect your professional life.

Invited to speak by Dr. Jennifer Fairchild, both Floyd and Perkins provided students with perspective on how to successfully market themselves professionally through the use of personal branding and social media. Describing how one’s image now can impact their professional career down the line.

As former CMS students and EKU graduates, Floyd and Perkins emphasized the role their degrees in Communication Studies played in helping them reach their professional goals. Floyd is currently working in HR within the healthcare field and hosts a popular talk show, @talkswithtrell, on Radio Lex. Perkins works as a communications professional for Lexington Catholic High School and owns his own media production outlet @shotsby_apcreative. Perkins photography work is also featured on Kentucky Sports Radio.

We are very proud to have these young men as graduates of our department!
