Especially if days are getting shorter and the sun is setting earlier! 🍂

Leave the dishes 🧽
Leave the laundry 🧺
Leave the sweeping 🧹
Leave the vacuuming 💨
Leave the mopping 🪣
Leave the mess 😵‍💫
Leave the chores 😓

I promise you, they aren’t going anywhere.

If you’re someone who suffers deals with intensified mental health side effects during the darker months of the year —getting outside, breathing in that outdoor air, feeling it on your skin, absorbing in whatever vitamin D we can is such a HUGE deal in preparation for the darker days ahead.

I’m not saying to forget about your other responsibilities. Of course they are a priority!

But if you find yourself:

unmotivated 😩
tired 🥱
sluggish 🐌
unable to focus 🤦🏽‍♀️

then maybe your body is telling you to step out for a minute.

A walk
A bike ride
A drive in the car
A step out the front door, even…

Can really go along way!!

Natural environments act as a buffer against urban cognitive overload, allowing the brain to recharge while reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
**According to data curated by the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association**

For the first time last year I started prioritizing more time outside last winter. Even if it was just a 5 minute walk, and I found myself stronger in my abilities to manage my symptoms.

Sharing my experience hoping it finds someone who may be in a dark place, like how someone’s post found me 💛

Reflecting on the time we played inside a 1920s Bandshell 🤯 in #PortHope !!

Back in August, we had the honour of being part of the Road to Cultivate Concert Series — and we’re still carrying the love and good energy with us. ❤️💛💚

Big love to the entire Cultivate Festival family for welcoming The Human Rights and giving us the space to share our music 🦁🎶

Enveloped by the timeless character of a 1920s bandshell , we had the honour of filling this historic space with reggae — surrounded by beautiful people, good vibrations, and the kind of energy that reminds us why we do what we do. ✊🏾❤️

A special thank you for the top-notch hospitality and warm welcome from start to finish. You made us feel right at home, and that kindness did not go unnoticed. 🙏🏽

To everyone who came out, danced, sang along, shared a smile, or simply caught the vibe — thank you. You truly helped make that day something special. 🌞🎶

From Toronto to Port Hope, music continues to remind us that no matter where we come from, rhythm brings us together.

Until next time, Port Hope. ✌🏾🔥

One love. One people. One rhythm 🌍🎵
