I went to the All About Downtown street fair in #JerseyCity and showed my support for activists pushing for DeGise’s resignation. It’s a battle of #everydaypeople vs the politicians and their abuse of power.

Thank you to everyone who came out today to demand the bare minimum of accountability from our elected leaders #resigndegise #allaboutdowntownjc #allaboutdowntown

Earlier this week, our campaign invited Councilperson Rich Boggiano to a debate ahead of the December 7th runoff election. Unfortunately, the deadline we set for the Councilperson to respond has been passed with no response. This is a campaign based on issues. Jersey City is dealing with a housing crisis, transportation safety crisis, and quality of life issues that have been festering. We had hoped that a debate with an impartial and respected moderator would give the candidates an opportunity to explain their views on these vital issues and better inform the voters. Rich has ignored this request.

No constituent should be ignored by their city council person. On the campaign trail, I have received a wave of feedback from people who have been ignored, dismissed, or disrespected by Councilperson Boggiano. Here are some of their stories...

Big thanks to the crowd that came out tonight in support of Tia Planta despite the community meeting being cancelled at the last minute. It's clear to me that the true leaders in the community aren't the ones who speak into microphones but the ones who stand up for what's right.

Finding out on Monday that she might be evicted was shocking. Hearing Shayla's story was so frustrating because it was preventable with leadership that feels the least bit accountable. Its clear that McGinley Sq can host both a black owned plant shop and a police foot patrol.

Her lease is up for renewal in January. I look forward to being there to support Shayla. And working with the wider community to make sure we have a community oriented police presence.

SO thrilled to be out on the ground going door-to-door collecting petition signatures so that I can get on the ballot this November! Huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who continue to show up with me to go canvassing! Glad to be with a team committed to improving Jersey City and bringing an independent progressive voice to the city council.

This election came with wins and losses but most of all a STRONG showing. What a great team! We are building a community of progressives here in Hudson County who are ready to do what it takes to bring representation back to every last neighborhood in Hudson. If we’re not in your neighborhood now, join us, introduce yourselves, so we can be!

Excited to be running for County Democratic Committee AND making history with @pdofhudsoncounty! We successfully challenged the "one male, one female" binary gender requirement for Hudson County Democratic Committee. Going forward, Hudson County's ballots will be gender-neutral—a win for transgender and nonbinary people, LGBTQ couples, and women!

If you're in District E13 (blocks between 3rd, 5th, Manila, and Coles) in #JerseyCity I hope my running mate @sordseas and I can earn your vote. You can also donate to support the entire PDHC slate—link in bio.
