This past Juneteenth, Liberated Roots Co was proud to serve as a sponso for the @cofs2025 Culture on Front Street Fashion Show, a dynamic celebration of the history of Black fashion, culture and creativity.

As part of our sponsorship, we opened up our curated vintage collection to the talented local stylists. Many of the runway looks featured pieces hand-selected from Liberated Roots Co. It was a joy to see our items become part of the runway story.

My experience at the “Culture on Front Street,” presented by @nr.productions.llc / @cofs2025 as a Model Coordinator ❤️

This show was a little different, but nothing short of amazing! To see someone that you’ve known since middle school bring a vision to life that truly brings the culture together is inspiring. When you hear Culture on Front Street, what do you think of? @honeythescorpion thought of having the audience experience different forms of black upbringing. This exhibition cultivated the Fashion History from the 1920s to the early 2000s. She also showed her alliance to the LGBTQ+ community, and ended the show with a gospel segment. If that’s not creativity, I don’t know what is! (Believe it or not, this video doesn’t even include all the greatness that was on the runway)

@nr.productions.llc / @honeythescorpion Thank you for trusting me to help you with your models and stylists. I was shocked, and a little nervous, but also very happy when you reached out. From the event briefing, I knew what this show could bring: happiness to be black. I genuinely learned a lot from this experience and if you ever need me for any future projects, you know I’m one call/text away 🤣

To the models and stylists, YALL DID YALL THING! You all truly embodied what it meant to bring each era to this current era in time. To watch the crowd smile ear to ear showed you all understood their past, and I’m sure took them back to a time that they didn’t even know they could experience again. I loved that I got to participate in this firsthand, from the beginning to end, and I hope you realize the history you made in STL.

Yesterday was a wild one. I had a challenging but exciting day and I feel the gratitude in my heart for the experience as a whole. I went from being the one having to be patient and compassionate to the one whom others had to be patient and compassionate with. And the climax of the story was an amazing Fashion Show that we worked hard to present. Im so honored to have worked with a wonderful group of people. Though drained and ungrounded from my job. My designers were on FYRE and they styled me to perfection 👏🏾 👌🏾 !!! Thank you Kimberly Hicks Franks , Sincere, and Trew for the opportunity to walk in your designs!!
And thank you Nija Price and Michaela and all others who took part in the Production of this amazing Culture On Front Street Fashion Show 👏🏾 🔥
This was Epic!!!
