If you told me 4 years ago as I was watching the 2022 World Cup in my 3rd period that I would be interning for the 2026 FIFA World Cup I would have thought you were crazy.

These last 39 days have been nothing short of incredible. I am so blessed to have learned from such a talented and lovely group of people who made this summer and this event the best it could’ve been. FIFA Fan Festival Houston could not have gotten a better entertainment team, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. Words truthfully cannot describe how much every individual I worked with impacted me, and I can’t thank everyone enough for the lessons and experiences I will take with me from everyone.

To my intern girlies, I love you! You made every day better, every new experience a little less scary and every joke so much funnier. I truly believe I came out of this experience with some of the best friends I could’ve asked for and I can’t wait to cheer you guys on in whatever you do!

Thank you FIFA for bringing the world to my backyard. Thank you Talent Ops for giving me a place to call home for the past 34 days. I can’t believe it’s over, but how blessed am I to have a job I can say I will miss.

With much love,
Angela Zamia, 2026 FIFA Fan Festival Houston - Intern

39 long days of keeping 2,000+ volunteers alive and (mostly) where they were supposed to be 😉

I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to have served as Volunteer Coordinator for the Houston Host Committee during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. From hitting my head on day one and being the first official medical incident at Fan Fest, to somehow making it to the finish line, I’m just grateful I’ll remember this summer forever. All 2,284 of my new friends will always have such a special place in my heart. As Heath would say: livin and lovin FOREVER! 😊⚽️

As this incredible journey comes to an end, I’m walking away with so many memories and so much gratitude. I just want to thank @fwc26houston for an unforgettable experience.

A special thank you to the amazing team at FIFA Fan Festival™ for this incredible opportunity. So much happens behind the scenes that people never get to see, and it’s all because of incredible people like them.

Thank you for the memories, the laughs, and for making this one of the best summers I’ll never forget.
