#NewYorkComicCon2026 #Recap
I really want to encourage everyone to go atleast once to NY Comic Con…even if you don’t have a costume. I’m telling you, you won’t forget an experience like NY Comic Con.

I got to meet so many cool and talented artists, publishers, business owners, costume designers n content creators…and it was all multiplied by 1000% because my wife was with me nerding out too! We love art of all kinds and it was in abundance!

Also super sick I got to see one of my best nerd friends up on the big screen promoting the TV show Crystal Lake(on Peacock/Debuts Oct 15th), we got to see the first episode and it’s done insanely well, a must watch especially if you’re into horror! @milquetoastpoints
Sorry if I didn’t tag everyone, IG is pretty stingy with the tag limit.

🎲 Games played in September 2026 🎲

🧩 I actually scaled back my playing last month. With Instagram killing engagement and interactions at an all time low, I felt less of an urge to keep getting games to the table. In a way though it let me play some newer ones with less urgency and take my time with them.

🧩 Avalon: The Riven Veil has been my number 1 game lately. A ramped up, Arthurian version of Blood Rage with glorious table presence. Aberration has been another stand out, co-op hit for me last month.

🧩 My other plays were a mix of older games and ones I’ve been into lately. Maestro, Molly House, Distilled (with Cocktails expansion) Andromedas Edge and more. Any questions about my games last month? 🤩

The game that dropped our jaws, filled in excitement, but never disappointed a bit while playing is @trialsofmaya, created by @zemonmain and @memewala. Thats the same team that gave us @shasnthegame and broke friendships. 😄

Having three books to refer and read felt abit cumbersome at first. But thankfully, the game is not too complex and the people we played with, all had a great time.

We started at 10 PM and midway into the game, we realized we played it wrong! 😅 So we refreshed it again and then played in all seriousness, that led to some serious fights and some not-so-agreeable points, a classic boardgaming experience, we must say! 🤭
And finally ended at 6 AM!

Imagine playing DOTA or League of Legends but on a table, as a board game, with some cool minis, taking Indian mythology as inspiration - how cool can that be, ain't it? 🤩

Although it's a prototype and is subject to change, the game, the mechanics, and the drafting looked wrll thought off - giving the player to think through multiple options - sticking true to its complexity.

Special thanks to @dr_neels and @rohitsurya2407 for agreeing to be a part of the playtesting, and more likely, agreeing to be a part of a chaotic night! 😅🤭

This game was so kindly sent from the makers of Trials of Maya for review. But all opinions on this game are our own.

If you liked the project, the theme, the minis, or even us (😜) - you can back it. The link is in the ToM Highlights. 😊
