Hon. DaSean Jones is a Managing Partner of Jones Injury Law Group, a decorated Army combat veteran, sitting Article I military judge, accomplished jurist, and skilled trial lawyer with a distinguished and multifaceted career in the legal field. Few attorneys match the depth and breadth of his life experiences, which encompass legal advocacy, judicial service, and military leadership.
Judge Jones has served as lead or solo counsel in over 30 jury trials and tribunals, and as a presiding judge in more than 100 jury trials—building a reputation for integrity and judicial insight. His impressive career includes roles as a trial attorney, U.S. Army Judge Advocate, Texas district judge (2019–2025), and military trial judge, now serving his second tenure on the military bench. His counsel is built upon over 24 years of service to our nation, including two combat deployments to Iraq and extensive courtroom experience. As a district judge in Harris County—one of the nation’s largest and most complex jurisdictions—he masterfully managed an intense docket with fairness and efficiency.
Throughout his career, Judge Jones has been a steadfast advocate for everyday citizens. Early on, he represented employees in challenging cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code, and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. As his expertise grew, he expanded his practice to include cases involving the Nursing Practice Act, the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and personal injury claims such as motor vehicle accidents and other harm.

At his core, Judge Jones embodies the ideal of a soldier-citizen. Achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, his leadership and dedication to public service remain evident in every facet of his life. His rare combination of experiences—as a combat veteran, state-elected official, and trial attorney—makes him a formidable advocate and a trusted voice in the legal community.
