RECAP: UPWARD THROUGH THE NIGHT

My first ever photo exhibit felt surreal. A vision come to life ❤️ So pleased to share this exhibit recap with you!

To everyone who came - thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love, stories, and some awesome surprise visits made the weekend unforgettable.

Bringing this to life took months of curation, and weeks of printing, framing, and more!

Heartfelt thanks to Darla Ebanks at My Gallery NYC @mygallery.nyc Tribeca Printworks @tribecaprintworks and Crossfire ProAV Rentals @crossfireproav and esp. my brother Stokely for helping bring this vision to life.

And to my Dad, the heart of it all. I'm grateful to honor you in this way 🙏🏾 ❤️

I'm also grateful for all the interest in this presentation, and I'm excited to share that the exhibit has been invited to show again. I'll be sure to keep you posted as this journey unfolds ❤️ Updates at upwardthroughthenight.com. Link in bio.

Which photo from the opening was your favorite? Let me know in the comments! ❤️📷

Printed in color for the first time with @tribecaprintworks @artontheavenyc ; I took this photo blocks from the @nyknicks parade ; it looks staged but it was just a beautiful site to see. I love our city, its people, our Knicks and fire escapes; limited prints available DM me for info. @jalenbrunson1 @nyknicks @eastmidtownpartnership

Posley studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited work since the age of sixteen, including at the Leslie-Lohman Museum in New York.

His work is held in public and private collections, including the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Come by @darknecessity.ny in Crown Heights to ✨adore✨ my pieces that I just put up this morning while sipping on the best espresso on this side of the Atlantic Ocean 😂.

Printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper for its tactile surface and framed without any plexiglass so we can truly appreciate that velvety texture and smooth tones that really brings out the "fine art" in my fine art photography. If you get it, you get it. If you don't, just look at all my film photos again lol.

Funny enough, I took these photos of @annekabeale and @nott.yourbb_ in back to back sessions on the same day. It was a long, 8-hour studio day for me, but obviously worth it.
