“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” - Nelson Mandela……and now IT’S DONE! This has been my brainchild for over a year, but I was too overwhelmed with grief and had a hard time concentrating to make it happen. My community on IG helped me through very dark days- and now I honor the very people who I’ve walked with over the last two years. We are in the sh@$tiest club that no one wants to be a part of, but we’re in it together. I could not have pulled this off without all of these amazing contributors. Has your grief been judged? How? Those fortunate enough to not comprehend grief in its entirety seem to be the quickest to tell us how we should grieve. Grieving is hard. Even if you experience your own grief, it will never be the same as someone else’s. Let’s all strive to be kind and accepting of however others decide to process their grief.

If I could get a single message to Tom on his birthday it would be this... Thank you so much for all the things you taught me, you showed me I was deserving of love and happiness when no one else would. You brought me from the deepest darkest pit and into the light. When you were torn from this world far too soon the only thing keeping me going was your memory, knowing I had to keep your legacy alive. I am so grateful for the life you gave me, the love you shared with me and the memories I have. I will never stop saying your name, spreading your message and fighting for justice. I love you more than words can ever express and I hope I can make you proud. Thomas Oliver Hill a healthy, passionate, young man was killed due to the selfish negligent actions of multiple people who were in positions of power or influence. None of these people have faced justice for his death so far, including one who is in prison for another crime, despite the evidence found against them. Although the investigation process is still ongoing, nearly 9 years later we are still left with no closure or justice! How amazing would it be to have our person/people here with us?! Some experiences make us stop and just imagine they are still here. Having them here would make the experience so much better to share. The Holiday season is known as a time of joy and happiness. This can make the season that much more difficult when you’re grieving.
