CYPHER VIBZ

A fundraiser jam for Bboy @salty_vibz from Quebec.

Romain aka Bboy Salty is a high level Canadian Breaker representing @bboyizm , a partner and a father. On July 26, Romain suffered a serious and rare injury and is currently raising funds to help him cover travel and medical expenses (exact details in the GFM page in the bio). As of today, the fundraiser is at 70%, we're hoping to help him get it over 100%!

So we're throwing a cypher jam! No competition, just the circle, the music and the community.

Music by @trickytroublez and @yes_kev
Hosted by @everydayjk47

🗓️ September 19, 2026

Every documentary benefits from perspective—not only from those who witnessed the past, but also from those shaping the present.

We're delighted to announce that Gold Medalist @philkwizard will be joining Bag of Trix.

In 2024, Phil made history by winning Olympic gold in Paris, becoming Canada's first Olympic champion in breaking. His victory marked a defining moment not only for Canadian breaking, but for an art form that had grown from community centres, school gyms, and street corners into one of the world's biggest sporting events.

Phil's career, however, extends well beyond the Olympics. Long regarded as one of the world's premier B-Boys, he has claimed world titles, captured the 2023 Pan American Games championship, reached the Red Bull BC One World Final twice, and represented Canada at the highest levels of international breaking. His creativity, musicality, and distinctive style have made him one of the most respected breakers of his generation.

Phil brings an important perspective to Bag of Trix. While the documentary explores Toronto's breaking scene through the story of Bag of Trix and the people who helped shape it, Phil offers a look at where breaking stands today. His journey helps illustrate just how far the art form—and Canadian breakers—have come over the past four decades.

We're grateful to have Phil helping us tell that story. He joins previously announced @flyladydi @joelgoldberg @storm_serious @flipout @forcemg @dwaynedero @djgrouch @jedskiplease and more!

Bag of Trix is a documentary currently in development from the team behind Drop the Needle: The Story of Play De Record and EP Maestro Fresh Wes. Directed by Rob Freeman. Written by Neil Acharya. Produced by Canterbury Crescent Filmworks, the film explores the story of Toronto’s early breaking scene and the Bag of Trix crew, while examining the artists, dancers, and cultural forces that helped shape the city’s hip hop community.
