THE PIGEON DANCE 🕊️🐐🪻🌸🌷
A new creation by the Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg and Simone Mousset

In 1976, Josiane Bal (then director of the Ballet National) was fatally crushed on stage by her set design, a giant goat hoof made of steel, which was suspended in the air and fell down at the wrong time.

The goat’s hoof was a symbol of Josiane Bal’s freedom as a woman and as an artist, and it is very tragic that that is the very thing that she was crushed by.
