#Juneteenth (June 19) is a federal holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It marks the historic day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, bringing freedom to the last remaining enslaved people in the country.

‘Xena: No Apologies’ is for anyone who has ever felt marginalized, outcast, different … for anyone who was told or made to feel ‘less than.’

Remember the meaning of Juneteenth and keep it alive because it symbolizes freedom and strength. Yes for the African American community, but as well for all of us. Here’s to a world filled with love and acceptance.

At the Cannes Film Festival - not on the glamorous red carpet, but in the belly of the beast, the ‘Marche du Film’. The film market where independent films are bought and sold. Wish me luck #xenites #xenadocumentary #xenawarriorprincess #cannesdocs #documentaries @trigold
