BOOK CARNIVAL: STEP UP & READ 📚🎪

A day centered around literacy, creativity, community, and giving our young readers the tools to dream bigger.

Koastlight had the pleasure of capturing the smiles, energy, and memories from Literacy Is Key 2026: Book Carnival — Step Up & Read, presented by Community Resource Project.

From free books and resources to local vendors, live entertainment, activities, and families coming together, the day was a reminder that when we invest in literacy, we invest in brighter futures.

Special recognition to Community Resource Project, Verizon, T-Mobile, SMUD, Health Net, Martinez Communications, and all of the participating vendors, authors, organizations, volunteers, and community partners who helped bring the Book Carnival to life.
