Wow! The most amazing experience ever! I’m truly so grateful to be able to serve with this group! Getting to love on kids and use my hands and feet to serve the Lord was literally the best thing in the whole wide world. God showed me that He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow and He is the same God in the DR, America, and everywhere else. With a lack of sleep from travel, the Lord revealed to me how much patience, joy, and strength I can have when I submit and be completely open for Him to use me. And being surrounded by a team who radiated God’s energy and love was truly amazing and something I will never forget. Despite having a language barrier it was amazing to see how body language was so important and how God created each of us to be unique with our own personalities. Giving kids piggy back rides, letting them braid our hair, playing jump rope, bottle flipping, volleyball, jump the creek, and playing one v one basketball with no hoop were some of my favorite moments with the kids. Showing and teaching the kids lacrosse for the first time was extra special to grow the sport and see what joy and fun playing a sport can bring! Dreams came to reality for construction on the @compassion center and was so special to be the group that got to complete the project which will be a blessing for this community for years to come. These verses have been on my mind: Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭3‬-‭5‬, Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭24‬-‭25‬, Ephesians 4:2, & Galatians 5:22-23. A huge thank you to @clemson_fca , @clemson_fcathletes , @fundacion_fca_dr , @scottieshoe , @graycenksanders , translators and now friends @raquelmoraquintana , @just_alexa006 , @jisselamanda , @clemsonwlax, and all of the donors, support, and hospitality that went into this trip! Leaving with a full heart and a new perspective on the world. Forever grateful.

Wow. What an amazing and incredible week! This trip was truly something I’ll never forget. I stepped into it with so many worries and unsure how i would connect with the kids knowing the language barrier, but the Lord moved in many ways i never expected, and showed me it was never about having the perfect words, it was always showing up with love, joy, being present, and that love has no language barrier. Whether it was smiling, laughing, dancing, playing games, braiding hair or just letting the kids draw all over with markers. The small moments lead to the biggest impact. Through serving, God taught me to fully trust Him and how He equips us for exactly what He called us to do. I am so blessed and grateful for all the relationships that the Lord created and surrounded me with along the way. This team is so inspiring and you can see how God works so evidently through each and every one of them. So beyond thankful to be able to serve along side them. I’m leaving this trip with a heart so full and forever changed! Thank you Jesus for this opportunity and experience!!🤍🤍
