Several scriptures describe Jesus doing things that were unpopular or controversial at the time. One example is Jesus’ teaching in Luke 14:26, where he says “““If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.”
‭‭This statement, while seemingly harsh, emphasizes the priority of following Jesus above all else which could be viewed as unpopular! A Focused woman knows the cost of doing the unpopular thing!

As a mother, watching my daughter prepare to leave home and join the United States Air Force fills me with a mix of pride and heartache. This weekend marks the last time she’ll be my “little girl” at home. The next time I see her, she’ll have transformed into a strong, independent woman and an official U.S. Airman. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers during this time of transition; as a deeply involved mother, I’m finding it challenging to let go. 😢

Here it is, the official start of the Livingston crew birthday season! Today is a very special one, the baby of the bunch is officially “18” and I’m not ok😢. Trinity, to say we’re proud of you is an understatement. Your determination to “make it happen” is a testament on its own. I can’t believe how fast time has flown. It feels like just yesterday, you would always cry for fried chicken and dunkin donuts😂. Now, you’re a semi-grown young lady (you’ll always be my baby) who’s about to literally explore the world on your own. You’ve made our family so proud by becoming a licensed cosmetologist! In three weeks you’ll be a high school graduate, and month or so after, you’ll officially be a US 🇺🇸Airman/woman. It’s all happening so fast! However, one thing I know is by the grace of God you’re going to be fine and that’s where my peace comes from! I’m so appreciative to you and your siblings for making this parenting job somewhat easy🙌🏽. Now, with all this being said today is your day and I’m sure you’re going to make this milestone birthday count lol.
