Today, we had the honor of celebrating Pastor Jim’s 70th birthday as a Trinity Church staff!

What a gift it is to have a leader, pastor, spiritual father, friend, and mentor all in one man. Your years of faithfulness, your heart for God’s people, and your unwavering commitment to the call of God have impacted more lives than you could ever imagine.

Pastor Jim, we are so grateful for the wisdom you share, the example you set, and the legacy you continue to build. It is an honor to serve alongside you and to witness firsthand the life you have poured into this house and the people in it.

Happy 70th birthday, Pastor Jim! We love you, we celebrate you, and we thank God for the gift of your life. Here’s to all that God has done and all that is still to come! 🎉

What does the Bible say about ending one's life?
There are several cases of suicide mentioned in the Bible:
Abimelech (Judges 9:52-54)
Samson (Judges 16:29-31)
King Saul and his Armor bearer (1 Samuel 31:4+5)
Ahitophel (2 Samuel 17:23)
Zimri (1 Kings 16:18)
Judas Iscariot (Matthew 27:5)

God's response to those who struggled with suicidal ideation was one of compassion and care.

Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus to those struggling around us.

If you or someone else may act on thoughts of suicide or self-harm, has made a suicide attempt, or cannot stay safe, seek urgent help. In the United States, call or text 988. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for an immediate medical or physical emergency. Outside the United States, use your local emergency or crisis service.

Our youth department carries the faith, prayers, and legacy of those who came before while making room for what God is doing now. Here’s to 50 years of legacy and the generation still to come.

Moving up is a big deal. We know the transition from pre-teen to youth can bring questions, uncertainty, and even a little tension as kids step into a new season. Pastor Rod and Pastor Matt are here to help answer those questions, share their hearts for the transition, and give parents and students a look at what they can expect in the season ahead. From navigating the change to building a strong foundation for what’s next, we want you to feel supported every step of the way.
