Building Atlanta’s #1 Nail Studio | Part 8 Flooring & The Platform 🪚

Whew, chile… we’re almost done with this series. It almost took your girl out.

It was raining outside, but you couldn’t tell me this wasn’t a good day! The floors were going down, the pedicure platform was going up, and I could finally see the vision coming together.

Kory got to work, and watching it back reminds me how much went into creating this space. Beautiful hands, beautiful feet, and an experience I’ve been praying and working toward.

And if you need work done in your space, Kory @aquashieldkory is your guy! He handled the floors and pedicure platform, and I’m so grateful for the work he put into bringing my vision to life. Reach out to him for your next project!

And yes, we’re OPEN! I’m catching you up on the journey, so you don’t have to wait for the final reveal to book.

There’s been a lot of faith behind every step of this build. Seeing it come together reminds me why I kept going. God, thank You.

We’re almost there, y’all!

A Russian manicure isn’t about removing as much cuticle as possible. 👀

It’s about knowing what to remove, what to preserve, and when to stop.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Russian manicures is that the cleaner the cuticle area looks, the better the technique.

But precision isn’t measured by how much skin is removed.

It’s measured by the nail technician’s ability to identify nonliving tissue, work carefully around the surrounding skin, and achieve a refined finish without unnecessary trauma.

Healthy skin should never be sacrificed for aesthetics.

A beautiful Russian manicure requires knowledge, control, and an understanding of the natural nail.

Because true precision isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing exactly what needs to be done.

Everyday of this new chapter of building this salon studio is a testament of God’s promises.

Philippians 4:19
Proverbs 3:5-6
Hebrew 13:5
Joshua 1:9

Whatever the Lord gives you, He will give you the provision to see it through. Lord, I thank you for carrying me through his journey. I fully surrender everything I am and everything I do to you 🙌🏾

“What you thinking about Des?”

“How to get this money fuuu”

In the season that I’m in right now don’t ask me nothing if it’s not pertaining to me making some money.

Love you.
Mean it.

Pulling strings to close the blinds? Absolutely not. 😂 Automatic was already on my list.

For this part of Behind the Build, Faye, the owner of H&F Blinds, came out to walk me through the options. We looked at different styles and how much light each one lets through, because privacy and natural light both matter in this studio.

We’re still choosing here. You’ll have to stay tuned for the reveal. 🤎

Looking for blinds for your space? Comment BLINDS and I’ll send you her link.🔗

Welcome to Behind the Build. These are the moments in between the big transformations. The deliveries, the errands, the decisions, the delays, the “okay… now how am I supposed to move THIS?” moments 😂🤦🏾‍♀️ and everything else that comes with building Trinity Image Nail Studio.

Today’s episode: the sink finally arrived. 🙌🏾

One more piece of the vision showing up in real life.

There’s so much that never made it into the official Building Atlanta’s #1 Nail Studio series, so now I’m taking you behind the scenes of what you didn’t see.

Welcome Behind the Build. 🖤💛
