I’ve been waiting to share this news for weeks. I promised I would take you on this journey with me and I am.

A couple of weeks ago I signed a major book deal and now I can finally share the details.

You all have been asking me for a book for a LONG time. It’s officially on the way. I’m excited for the work ahead. This is YOUR book.

I’m challenging what it means to “turn out fine” because good job, pay check and status symbols ain’t cutting it. We are reexamining and redefining what it means to turn out alright.

🚨 I can’t believe I’m typing this, but… I signed with an agent! I am so darn excited to let y’all know that I am now represented by my new literary agent, @trinitymcfadden. In case you didn’t know, I’m technically a teacher - yup - that’s how little awareness I had of my sensory needs, traditional classrooms are actually my idea of hell. But I do have a passion for supporting my kids and sharing about both mine and their struggles with the school system. I open up about our experiences and share yours! So many of you shared so much for this chapter. I also speak about the serious stuff, restraint and seclusion, school trauma in all its forms, our experience with homeschooling you name it.

Chronically misunderstood and people hearing what I absolutely did not say… I have never implied a single thing of the sorts and was sooo taken aback😵‍💫 I still remember the feeling of utter shock and confusion… and honestly that’s kinda persisted throughout my life. Knowing why now has meant everything.

Available to preorder now and coming out Nov 3rd this book (and yes of course audiobook, narrated by yours truly!) is everything I felt I needed when I received my autism diagnosis at 31. For the woman that I was then, the girl that I was growing up and who I am now. This book covers everything I felt I needed, advice or lessons shared from my own life, from childhood to parenting to school, to career, sexuality, and of course acceptance…. With a dash of humour too.
