Meet God Here.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Pastor Jim’s 70th birthday as a Trinity Church staff!

What a gift it is to have a leader, pastor, spiritual father, friend, and mentor all in one man. Your years of faithfulness, your heart for God’s people, and your unwavering commitment to the call of God have impacted more lives than you could ever imagine.

Pastor Jim, we are so grateful for the wisdom you share, the example you set, and the legacy you continue to build. It is an honor to serve alongside you and to witness firsthand the life you have poured into this house and the people in it.

Happy 70th birthday, Pastor Jim! We love you, we celebrate you, and we thank God for the gift of your life. Here’s to all that God has done and all that is still to come! 🎉

There was a version of Lashun who had no idea what God was about to do with her life.

One day, you’re the one being reached.
Then suddenly, God is using YOU to reach somebody else.

That’s Lashun’s story.

About two years ago, she got water baptized.

She got filled with the Holy Spirit.
She started showing up to Bible study.
She said yes to ministry training.
She said yes to serving.
She kept saying yes when nobody was watching.

Then came New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

While the city was chasing a party, Lashun was carrying a message:

JESUS.

And she went.

She preached.
She prayed.
She stepped out in faith.

But what happened after that is what gets us.

The girl who was once being discipled
became the girl helping disciple others.

The girl who was learning evangelism became the girl helping lead street evangelism.

And now we get to watch God take the life of someone who simply said YES…

…and use her to bring Jesus to people who may have never encountered Him otherwise.

That’s discipleship.

It’s watching a seed become fruit.
It’s watching someone go from “teach me” to “send me.”

Lashun, watching your journey has been one of our greatest joys.

We love you. We are so proud of you.

And girl… this story is nowhere near finished. ❤️‍🔥
