Today, we had the honor of celebrating Pastor Jim’s 70th birthday as a Trinity Church staff!

What a gift it is to have a leader, pastor, spiritual father, friend, and mentor all in one man. Your years of faithfulness, your heart for God’s people, and your unwavering commitment to the call of God have impacted more lives than you could ever imagine.

Pastor Jim, we are so grateful for the wisdom you share, the example you set, and the legacy you continue to build. It is an honor to serve alongside you and to witness firsthand the life you have poured into this house and the people in it.

Happy 70th birthday, Pastor Jim! We love you, we celebrate you, and we thank God for the gift of your life. Here’s to all that God has done and all that is still to come! 🎉

“Dad, I had a vision…”

Moriah came to me and Leah last week and shared about an encounter she had during worship on September 1st, 2026.

While I was in worship, I saw a map unfold before me, and a piece of land surrounded by water. I didn’t know what location or nation it was. I remember seeing on the top left a piece of land that was jagged on the side.

The vision shifted, and I was standing in a big green forest. I turned and saw Dad. There was fire all around him, burning the grass and trees. But it didn’t feel dangerous. I looked and noticed there were two massive angels standing beside him.

We started walking. As we started walking, there were hundreds of people that began walking with us.

On Wednesday when Mom and Dad were out of town, I walked into his office. On the wall, I noticed new wall hangings. They were maps of the different cities in the metroplex. In that moment, I realized Cedar Hill was the map that I saw in my vision!!

My heart was stirred deeply. Stirred as she shared the vision. Thankful for my Leah’s eye for design and our vision for the cities of South Dallas.

God, You know me… but search me again.

God already knows every part of us our thoughts, fears, strengths, and weaknesses. Yet David still prayed:

“Search me, O God, and know my heart.” (Psalm 139:23)

May this be our prayer today. Lord, reveal what needs to change, uproot every anxious thought, and lead us in Your everlasting way.

Search me. Know me. Lead me.❤️
