Some places are beautiful. Others hold a little magic. ✨

A wedding at the Inverary is more than a setting. It's a place where magic feels at home.

From the first details that set the scene to the people who make it all mean something, the laughter that fills the room, the happy tears that catch you by surprise, and the moments you wish you could bottle up forever. It’s the coming together of your favourite people, the feeling of being right where you’re meant to be, and the kind of memories that only grow more precious with time.

Thank you for capturing the magic of Samantha and Liam's day, @tialoryssaphotography 🤍

On September 5, I married my best friend — and not a single thing went according to plan. Our wedding day wasn’t perfect. In fact, it was, in every sense of the word, a complete disaster. From weather alerts, severe flooding, 80 km winds, and washed out roads, to a power outage that had us packing up our Airbnb at 4 o’clock in the morning while trying to find an entirely new place to get ready just three hours later (shout out to @loganmacneil_ for coming in clutch on that one). It felt like anything that could have possibly gone wrong, did. And somehow, I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way.

Planning a wedding is made up of a thousand little decisions. If I can offer my advice to anyone getting married, I would tell you that none of those decisions matter more than who you choose to be a part of it. Put sincere thought into not only who stands beside you, but who spends the day with you capturing every moment behind the camera. None of these people should be chosen based on sentiment or aesthetic alone — it’s about the kind of people you want surrounding you if/when things don’t go according to plan. Choose people who will laugh with you when everything falls apart, calm you when you’re overwhelmed, make you forget that anything was ever supposed to go differently, and turn a complete disaster into the single greatest memory you’ll ever have. We chose perfectly. We were abundantly surrounded by those people on our wedding day, and I can say with undeniable certainty that they — along with our incredible family — are the reason this day was the best day of our entire lives.

To my husband, I hope the rest of our life is a reflection of everything this day embodied. I hope it’s full of love, excitement, laughter, celebration, and, most importantly, I hope it’s unpredictable and completely chaotic. I hope it twists, turns, changes course, and then changes again — because plans are boring, seamlessness is overrated, and no good story ever came from perfection. Also, it’s kinda chic to get married in a hurricane.

And yes, by the way, we went to the Capri.

The fact that I’m sharing 39 photos from this gallery, and that Shannon looked at me countless times on her wedding day saying how she was in such disbelief that all her dreams were coming true in real time, says everything about her + Mike’s wedding and marriage.

These two are the real deal, and I feel so lucky to know them 😘 Finishing touches happening right now on this gallery!!!
