«10 hours”, 2026

The book “10 Hours” explores a journey into memory, like a kaleidoscope of images flashing before one’s eyes during a long car ride. It is based on childhood memories of frequent road trips with my dad.
I tried to depict a state in which memories and
delusions blend, and the main action takes place on the border between sleep and death.
Couldn’t the transition into the bardo be like this—the first moments of dying, like a film reel stretched across the pupil of the eye?

A close friend of mine once said that a journey is
always a movement inward. In “10 Hours,” I charted a route through my own memory into a field where it is difficult to construct a logical chain of events.
In this field, the duration can stretch and contract, depending on how much the observer’s unconscious stretches or distorts the moment. Anything can be either erased from memory or prolonged forever, and everything important always remains in the heart.
