What I love about commissions is the element of surprise. You know the concept, but neither of us knows exactly where my hands will take it. I trust my instincts, follow the excitement, and bada boom, bada bang. Done! ♡

Thank you to @francoryan for sponsoring this special gift and experience for young Mason and his friend. He came by @americanwhiskeynyc with his dad to color with us and choose Knicks-inspired artwork for himself and a friend.

Mason and his dad went viral several times during the Knicks Finals run, from their special handshake to Mason rallying his classmates for a “Knicks in Four!” chant just days before kindergarten graduation. Safe to say, he’s had quite the Knicks summer. 😂🏀

Franco also commissioned a special piece from me for his Knicks album. I want the finished work to be a surprise, so no sneak peeks until the handoff.

I mean where do I start?

This is unbelievable. I still can’t put it into words. It’s super emotional for me .This is probably the craziest run I have ever seen and anyone has ever witnessed in the history of the NBA. I mean some of the games I couldn’t even believe we pulled out the W. But then I remember we are the NEW YORK KNICKS. Team is super resilient and filled with a bunch of winners. Honestly unless you were up by 50 points against us, the lead was never safe and we had a chance to win. This had to be the most fun I ever had being a Knicks fan. From being out the streets in NYC at watch parties with my friends and other Knicks fans to watching finals games with my dad and brother. Being that it is my dad and I’s first final run together, it was truly special. We suffered for so many years and every year was disappointment after disappointment. I always told my dad every year “I think we will figure it out this year” and that would be after we signed guys like Emmanuel mudiay or drafted guys like frank ntilikina.. it was always disappointment. I used to always get clowned on for being a Knicks fan and suffered way too much. I mean I went a game where Lou amundson was starting and Kevin seraphin was getting minutes .. I have the Knicks tatted on me, this shit means something to me. Being a Knicks fan meant being in the trenches . We were the joke of the league for so long and Now we are NBA CHAMPS. I’ll truly never forget this year and this year will forever be special for me. I’ve waited so long for this. WE DID IT. Jalen Brunson you are the GOAT Knick. Thank you! 🧡💙🧡💙
