Last : ‘The Road to Nowhere: A Journey Through Boxing’s Wasteland” by Tris Dixon.⁣
⁣
Just finished this book! Many might know Tris from his brilliant podcast “Boxing Life Stories” - as he interviews some of boxing’s biggest names and characters. Well his own story is one worth telling and ‘The Road To Nowhere’ gives us a bit of that, as the book details his trip around America on a greyhound bus tracking down some forgotten boxing greats (many I knew very little about) - although the stories of the boxers are class, Tris personal journey through it all is equally brilliant! Highly recommend it to all the boxing book fans out there 🥊⁣

Got piles of books to get through! So was a bit unsure what to go with⁣
Next. My last few reads have been ‘Dark Trade’ , ‘Four Kings’ and ‘Road to Nowhere’... all of which have various subject matters throughout and realised I haven’t done an autobiography for a while and who does love the ‘Gypsy King’ 🙌⁣

Having been part of Andy’s journey (as a fan). Lived & loved the road (bumps & all) and heard all the stories over the years - i find myself in tears listening to Andy describe those final moments with Emanuel.
In true Andy style - Raw, Real & Honest as the day is long.

Have been meaning to give the Boxing Life Stories a listen for ages and finally got round to it.
Cheers to @trisdixon for an absolute awesome podcast with the great and the good (mostly greats) 🍺
This one with @mrdfbarker is fantastic. Sparring stories, Family and the ups and downs of the pro game and becoming a world champ. Now my go too and have loads left to listen too.
