This was a rough week for me, but here we are at the end of it. The lesson I learn so often is that time waits for no one. I can crawl into bed and try to hide from reality (and I do that sometimes), but that never works. In fact, that usually makes things worse. I know the answer is to keep going, keep fighting, all that. But sometimes that’s easier said than done. Either way, time marches on. And we do too.

Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful.

Today’s quote is perfect for the Bobber I think. The bike is so simple. All the changes I’ve made have been to either shed weight or to replace with meaningful parts - better suspension, nicer chain, smaller indicators and mirrors, etc. This bike is awesome from the factory, but I’m so happy with the refinements I’ve made to it.

The older I get, the more I’m about this same concept in my life. Simplicity sounds like a dream worth chasing these days. I try not to add things to my life unless it’s going to be meaningful, though that’s easier said than done.

There are multiple ways to interpret today’s quote, but I take it as a warning. What you focus on impacts you. If you choose to focus on the darkness, it can overwhelm you. I think that fits well with this set. I went with a darker, more aggressive edit than I normally do. What do we think?

The gear in this post may be looking familiar by now, as it’s become my go to kit for summer. The Commando UH under the Vayu Runa jersey (both from @pandomoto) is such a breathable, comfortable combo. I’ve spent full days in this combo this summer and it has made hot days so much more bearable.
