Don’t postpone your dreams. Life is happening right now, and the clock keeps stealing away the moments we’ll never get back.

Get out there and explore the Canadian roads today. 🇨🇦🏍️ Every road has a story, every turn holds a possibility, and every ride is a reminder that life is meant to be lived, not postponed.

“The bows glided down, and the coast blackened with birds took a last look at his thrashing hair and whale-blue eye; the trodden town rang its cobbles for luck.”

I wanted to play with something that looks like a trailer for a movie.
And if you look closely I’m wearing this amazing riding pants from @ekontravel. Got to ride in those pants for 1500km down the Oregon coast. And I can tell you they are amazing.
They reached out to me and send this pair for me to test it and give honest feedback. See you in the next video

We’re making the most of every last bit of warm weather and every sunset we can catch, because winter is coming.

Soon, it’ll be time to hibernate like bears 🐻, dreaming about our bikes, planning the next trip, and counting the days until spring comes around again. 🏍️

What’s your plan for the winter? 👇

The Legacy Project | Karen Carroll
Part I

Catch me if you can

Age: 67
Riding since age 45
Motor Maid member

Trying to find a time to photograph Karen this summer wasn’t easy. She was often off on week-long motorcycle adventures. But after meeting her and hearing about all the places she’s ridden, two words came to mind: extraordinary and humble.

I asked her if she’d ever consider writing a book to document her travels and share some of the wisdom that comes from more than half a million kilometres on motorcycles around the world. She looked at me like I was nuts and said the only books she plans to leave behind are photo books for her grandkids. But she hasn’t started them yet because she’s too busy riding.

She also told me she’s not special and that I should wait until I meet some of the other Motor Maids. (Humble ….!)

I’ll let you decide.

Motorcycles owned:
(logged approximately 550,000 km and counting not including travel rental bikes)
• 2022 Triumph Tiger 900 GT: 73,000 km and counting
• 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XCX: 156,000 km
• 2009 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail: 209,000 km
• 2006 Harley-Davidson Deluxe: 92,000 km
• 2004 Yamaha V-Star 1100: 23,000 km
• 2002 Honda Shadow 600 VLX: 19,000 km

🌎 Rental bikes: 26,650 km of adventures and counting, including:
• Ireland: 2,445 km (2014)
• Slovenia, Croatia and Italy: 2,322 km (2016)
• Chile and Argentina: 1,892 km (2016)
• Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa: 5,357 km (2017)
• New Zealand: 7,974 km (2018)
• Romania, Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria: 3,151 km (2018)
• Norway, Finland and Sweden: 3,509 km (2024)

What makes her story even better? She didn’t start riding until she was 45. And she’s no pavement princess either. She’s ridden everything from rough gravel roads in Alaska to weeks of riding through soft sand in Africa.

Her adventures are extraordinary. She’s a reminder that it’s never too late to try something new, follow your curiosity and see where it takes you.

575,000 km and counting ..

More to follow soon.
