Click the link in our bio to read our interview with Mike and watch his comedy short film NAVI BOYS. . Kino (Q): . Mike (A): Creatively restricting yourself in the writing process isn’t the worst idea. How can we be creative in one location, how can we be creative with 2 actors, etc, etc, etc. Unit moves, cool lighting setups, big set pieces, I love it all and I’ve done it, but it really makes your shoot days more complicated and rushed, and then the shot looks cool, but your performance isn’t quite there and you are behind by 2 hours. Not saying it’s always the way, but just someone who’s made 50+ sketches/shorts for YouTube, I’m very strategic with my favours now and how I chose to write passion projects. . About Navi Boys: In this comedy short, on the 654th episode of the longest running Avatar-Fan Podcast, one of the hosts drops some very unexpected news… and one Navi Boy doesn’t take it so well.

‘Navi Boys’ by @mikemildon is ‘Short Film of the Month’ (February)! Mike and Elon are recording an episode on their Avatar fan podcast when disorienting revelations are made, leaving the future of their friendship in deep uncertainty. The film is a beautiful, and efficient, utilization of resources, performances and writing to portray a single moment, a conflict, and the confrontation, struggle and the eventual resolution that constitute it. ‘Navi Boys’ will be featured in our Spotlight section on the page until March 15. Head to the link in bio to watch. Credits: Cast: @randallwalshenterprise, @mikemildon, @thebnoth Director, editor, writer: @mikemildon DOP: @gtbeez Writer: Jon Rende (@trophyhusbandscomedy)

Welcoming Trophy Husbands as Judges to our Summer competition! A comedy trio consisting of Mike Mildon, Jon Rende, and Jackson Rowe. Their hard work clearly shines through in the consistency of their high quality productions. I truly don’t think there’s a single sketch of theirs we don’t love. It’s worth checking out their entire archive of hilarity. They’ve been producing sketches for the past 7 years, including a collection for @funnyordie. The Super Intense Office Scene alone is worth subscribing to their YouTube channel for. Swipe right for a snippet of that. And you HAVE to check out For Heaven’s Sake, Jackson Rowe and Mike Mildon’s foray into True Crime Docuseries. Which has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating 😦😦😦 You can catch it now on Paramount + or CBC Gem. The Top 10 sketches are being decided right now on the TSC YouTube channel (Link in our Bio) and it's a tight race to make it to the Judges round! So make sure to get your votes in by liking your favourite sketches before Sept 1st!
