Never stop learning.

I created a group to surround myself with photographers and videographers. There’s just too much knowledge to share. Everyone has at least one thing they can learn from one another.

Our quarterly depICTions meetup took place where we weee treated to a hands on interactive session on concert photography from the wonderful @mikelurie

Followed by a DJ set from @rudylovejr_ where people were able to get some reps in.

Today I learned more about flash photography, crop sensor, and shutter drag. I absolutely love this hobby; something that’s brought a newfound level of joy to my life.

Thank you to all those who attended and @somewhere.works for having us.

🩷A letter of gratitude:

Write a letter to someone who matters tremendously to you, someone who has inspired you or currently inspires you but whom you have not yet taken the time to thank.
Someone who has helped you, who has shown you kindness, or generosity. In short, this person you are genuinely grateful in your life.

Explain to them what fills you with gratitude. You can choose to hand write the letter or type it out, mail it , hand-deliver it or Text it . No matter how you go about doing it. It’s important to let the people know who lift you up that you appreciate the differences they made..

Dear Creatives,

I appreciate & value your kindness and soft hearts. Your skills and abilities to bring art to life is beyond beautiful. You hold a special skill that was gifted to you from the day you were born. I hope the best to you all and your endeavors. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

“Don’t go through life, grow through life.”

depICTions, a community of photographers and videographers, had our fourth meeting at Somewhere Works.

We had the honor of having a panel featuring Jennie Steinacher, Caitlyn Cody and Caitlyn Slemp discuss freelancing in corporate photo and video, moderated by Frances Rico.

It’s a time for creatives to network, learn from each other, find opportunities, grow together and remove the gatekeeping.

I really love this little community and literally learn so much every single time.

Big thanks to Somewhere Works for hosting us!
