Today’s focus: power under fatigue.

We built up with 1 cluster + 4 thrusters, working up to 135 lb before the workout.

Then I dropped to 95 lb and got to work.

18 Minute AMRAP
2 Thrusters
6 Box Step Overs
4 Burpees
10 V Ups

Add 2 Thrusters and 2 Box Step Overs every round.

Made it to the round of 14 thrusters before time was up.

Want to test yourself? Save it and give it a try.

Your why has to become bigger than your excuses.

We’ve all heard the stories of parents doing the impossible to save their child lifting a car finding unimaginable strength and pushing past every limit. In that moment their why is bigger than their fear.

Now ask yourself why isn’t your own life enough?

Your health matters. Your future matters. The people who love you need you healthy strong and present. Stop waiting for a crisis to become the reason you finally change.

Find a why that’s big enough to get you moving today not someday.

When coach math not mathing. Coach says “just 5 reps!” What she meant was 5 reps, at 5 weights increasing , 3 rounds so technically 75 reps. 😭 But I finished! #thrusters #totalbodyworkout #legdayworkout

Nothing flashy today. Just rebuilding what the injury took.

I trained barefoot on purpose.

After breaking my tibia and fibula, I still deal with limited ankle mobility from the injury and hardware. Weightlifting shoes help compensate by giving me an elevated heel, but every now and then I take them off so I can work on what still needs attention.

A back squat demands more ankle dorsiflexion than most people realize. If that range is limited, your body finds other ways to get depth by shifting, leaning, or changing mechanics. That’s why I spend so much time working on mobility before and after I train.

Ironically, my front squat feels more natural. The upright torso and the way I move into the lift seem to work better with the mobility I currently have, while the back squat continues to expose what still needs work.

Today’s work:

Back Squat
205 x 5 for 4 sets
185 x 5 for 6 sets

Barbell Reverse Lunges
135 pounds
4 sets x 8 reps

Goblet Squats
105 pounds
4 sets x 12

Lateral Lunges
3 sets x 12

100 AbMat Sit Ups

What you don’t see is just as important as what you do see. The mobility work before and after the workout is what allows me to keep progressing.

The goal isn’t just lifting heavy.

The goal is earning the ability to move well while doing it.

Progress isn’t always adding weight to the bar. Sometimes it’s taking your shoes off and addressing the weak link you’ve been avoiding.

Transparently I have been lacking motivation. but that's where discipline kicks in. Stick to your plan not your mood.

Finding your strongest bench isn’t just about throwing weight around. It’s technique, positioning, bar path, stability, and learning what setup creates the most power.

Today I worked:
• Larsen press with feet up
• Larsen press with legs straight
• Pin press at different heights re
• Paused bench
• Standard competition style bench

I also switched between rubber and iron plates to feel the difference in bar whip and stability while testing different grip widths from pinky on ring to ring finger on ring.

Every set was intentional. Every variation exposes a weakness or teaches better control.

Strong benching is not random. It’s practiced. 💪🏽
