How are you able to do it all?!

A question I’ve been asked countless times throughout my career.

The honest answer? I gave it my all—and I would still beat myself up thinking it wasn’t enough.

But even more importantly, I was never truly alone.

From my parents to former students who dedicated countless hours of their free time to serving a bigger cause: our students.

Studovusa has evolved tremendously over the last few years thanks to the contributions of Annika, Matěj, Agata, and many, many others. My gratitude to these people remains enormous, and their impact will never be forgotten.

To evolve further, both as a person and as a company founder, I knew I needed a full-time team member.

But who?

It needed to be a former Exchange student, just like everyone who is part of our community.

It needed to be someone with a genuine love for, care for, and endless empathy toward our students.

Someone flexible, deeply caring, and enthusiastic enough to repeat the same Exchange cycle year after year, starting from scratch.

Someone willing to dedicate Saturdays to preparation picnics, summers to Summer Camp, and early mornings to airport goodbyes as your kids leave for the USA.
Last November, on the @podcast_nedaleko, I was asked:

“How do you do it all, and why don’t you get some real help?”

Being deep in the trenches of recruitment season, I was far too exhausted to come up with an elaborate answer.

So I simply asked the host:

“Do you volunteer?”

Many months later, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome Tereza to the Studovusa team as our Operations & Community Manager.

Tereza doesn’t just meet all of the requirements for the role. She exceeds them—with a smile on her face.

She knows the Exchange experience firsthand, having spent the 2016–17 school year at Westville High School in Indiana.

Today, she will be guiding our students through the entire journey—from their first consultation meetings and English proficiency tests, through the application process, preparation picnics, Zoom calls, visa days, pre-departure meetings, and Summer Camp, all the way to their actual stay in the United States, where she will serve as a mentor and a s
