The end of my first semester at college!! I got into my first college musical called Tale of Two Cities, I played British Ensemble! I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been in this show! And I am so incredibly grateful for the people God has put in my life! I have made so many wonderful friends here at college!! My family has been so supportive and loving, it was wonderful to visit them over break! It was a busy break, but it was so wonderful to visit all of them and spend time with the people the Lord has blessed me to know. Lastly I am so thankful for my wonderful boyfriend who has supported me through everything and helped me get through my first semester of college! I am so happy that he is here with me and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us this next semester!

⏳ Failures OR Loading Successes of 2024

Just like most of you, I fall before the finish 99% of the time. But luckily, I love the process of learning and unlocking new movements even more than sending!

That’s why this year I opened up more projects for myself than normal, as I was pushing myself on harder climbs with the sole mission of learning more complex physical and tactical skills.

So many beautiful experiences I got to have with amazing people by my side, eager to see me find fulfillment and joy in my processes.

Here is a compilation of problems I did not manage to send this past year and can’t wait to get a chance to return to!

1) The Big Island (V15/8C), what the send will look like 😂
2) Mécanique Élémentaire (V14/8B+), need to understand that crux first move better!
3) Karma (V12/8A+), can’t wait to return with a healthy left knee!
4) Superpowered (V12), need more yeet!
5) El Corazon (V13), my anti-style dream line!
6) Sky (V13), huge progress over last year!
7) Big Dragon (V12/8A+), 2nd day on was not the play 😂
8) Free Hug Assis (V11/8A) Need to be fresh and have skin lol
9) Tomba (V14/8B+) 2013, howd you get in here!? Too good, thats how!
10) Crash Test (V9), 5 sessions deep on this one. I make a SOLID 1mm improvement every time 😂 such a fun jump!

I love measuring progress every year and feeling how my climbing changes over time. Some things go up, some things go down, but I have been glad to know that no matter what, I am having a ton of fun, growing in new ways and creating meaningful relationships, experiences and memories I will have forever.

You have a choice every time you fall or “come up short” on something you were hoping to accomplish. You can look at the positives or be blinded by [false] negatives.

But if you approach each move, climb, day, week, month, year, as an opportunity to learn, improve and celebrate every small win, you’ll find what you are truly looking for.

If you get overly upset or anxious about outcomes, I encourage you to devote some real time and effort to look inwards and find your “WHY.”

When to Rest and when to Climb? 🛌🤔 🧗

For many psyched climbers, this decision is an internal war between emotions and rationality.

Too often do I see climbers lose this war and make the wrong decision, resulting in the opposite outcome that they were in search of… a fantastic session that resulted in improvements.

I wrote this article for anyone who is tired of convincing themselves that they should go climb when they know deep down that they shouldn’t. I hope this information is enough to arm you with the ability to make better decisions!
