Was at a networking event yesterday and there was an interesting topic of discussion. @dshands asked: "What has the first six months of the year taught you?" That question hit me harder than I expected. Business-wise, the year has been great. We've launched new concepts, built stronger partnerships, grown our community, and created momentum around a lot of things we're building. But if I'm being honest, my personal life took a bigger hit than I realized. I spent so much time building that I forgot the builder needs maintenance too. One of my biggest lessons this year? I can't keep trying to carry every department, every project, and every responsibility by myself. Growth creates new opportunities, but it also exposes bottlenecks. For me, that bottleneck has been delegation. So the focus for the next six months: 🌱 More teamwork 🌱 Better systems 🌱 Clearer delegation 🌱 More balance 🌱 Less operating everything myself 🌱 Keeping God front and center through it all I'm learning that success isn't always about adding more. Sometimes it's about removing the things that keep you from becoming who you're supposed to be. We're officially at halftime. What's one lesson the first six months of the year taught you? Talk to me I talk back👇🏾🌱

A recap from last month’s Founders Mixer Meetup 🌱 The goal behind these gatherings is simple: Bring founders, entrepreneurs, creatives, executives, and community builders into the same room to build real relationships, exchange ideas, and create opportunities that actually lead somewhere. In a world where a lot of networking feels transactional, we’re intentional about creating spaces where people can genuinely connect, collaborate, and grow alongside one another. Last month we had about 50 individuals come out and tap in with the community, and this month we’re looking to grow that to 70+ people in the room. More conversations, more collaboration, and more opportunities. 📍Founders Mixer Meetup 🗓 Tuesday, May 12th 📍 Addis Lounge – Inglewood ⏰ 6PM–9PM If you’re a founder, entrepreneur, executive, creative, or someone simply looking to be in the right rooms with like-minded people, this is for you. 🎟 Registration link is in the bio to secure your ticket. Also, if you’re an organization, brand, or business looking to connect with other organizations and communities, we’d love to host and collaborate with you as well, just reach out directly. People need people & founders need founders 🤝🏾

THIS Saturday, March 28th, we’re bringing the community together for Build Your Table: Mentorship Resource Day (Vol. 3) a space where resources, people, and opportunities are created. From groceries to wellness services, from mentorship to music, these resource days are about making sure our people have what they need to maintain stability. We’re tapping in with organizations, mentors, and leaders who are actively doing the work, all in one place, for the community. 📍 Nickerson Gardens Recreational Center ⏰ 11:00AM – 2:00PM Expect: • Resources for families • Health & wellness support • Activities for the youth • Real conversations with mentors & coaches • Good energy, good music, and good people This is what it looks like when we build WITH the community, not just for it. Pull up. Bring someone with you. Be part of something real. 🤝🏾 #TheCollextiveGroup #BuildYourTable #CommunityImpact #MentorshipMatters #ForThePeople
