As I close the door to this beloved space that held so much ~
So much laughter, realisations, deep joy and beautiful tears, incredible community magic and synchronicity. All the friendships formed, all the learning, profound experiences, music, dance, baby blessings, healings, long hugs and the sweetest gatherings ~

As I close the door to this beloved space I feel my heart expanding so deliciously ~
Into service, creation and iridescent sense of newness.
In trust, surrender and curiosity.

Having recently designed my own new build, I understand the emotional load, stress and overwhelm of designing a home and selecting finishes, even as a trained designer. There were days when even the simplest choices became a mammoth task due to the amount of decisions, looming timelines and the sheer expense and permanence of every decision.

So often, we decorate our homes the way we feel others think we should, with little consideration of what we like and need. Often, we're not fully sure what we like and can't visualize the end result. We can be influenced by our builder or tradespeople to pick the easier route and feel intimidated and inundated by the opinions of others.

My design background helped me get clear on how I wanted to feel in my home and what hadn't worked for me in previous homes. Designing a custom built home means that it's customised to YOUR needs, YOUR budget and how YOUR family will evolve. It is all about the way you want to live in your home and what makes life easier for you and your family.
