„A New Way To Life“ is out everywhere via @vesperian.world

Some records are carefully planned.
This one wasn’t.
The title isn’t about arriving somewhere. It’s about accepting that life sometimes asks us to begin again. That healing is rarely linear and that even in the darkest moments there can be quiet beauty, hope and the possibility of change.
These songs are an imprint of the states we went through and if they accompany you during a peaceful evening, a long journey, a difficult chapter, or simply a quiet moment alone, they have already found their purpose.

TSCHAIKOWSKY & KANN (@tschaikowsky.kann) - "A New Way to Life" is out now!

Niklas Tschaikowsky (guitars) and Leonhard Kann (synthesiser, drum computer, field recordings) chart their own course through electro-acoustic terrain, where guitar lines and analogue synth textures fold into one another, and tape hum and outdoor field recordings blur the line between studio and landscape.

Their music moves through ambient, Krautrock and kosmische Musik in equal measure — meditative and slow-burning, with a dreamlike, introspective pull that rewards deep listening.

We recommend listening to the whole album, from start to finish!

Some moving pictures from when we wrote and recorded „Journey Through Wannsee“ at Frank-Zappa-Straße.
Niklas came with this guitar idea - we followed the stream and finished writing and recording it the same day ✨

TSCHAIKOWSKY & KANN (@tschaikowsky.kann) share new single and video “Journey Through Wannsee”,
debut album “A New Way To Life” out on October 23rd, 2026

Berlin ambient duo Tschaikowsky & Kann today release their new single “Journey Through Wannsee”, together with a music video. The band shot the video themselves, and Miles Skarin (Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Blood Incantation, among others) animated and edited it. His animation draws out the melancholy at the heart of the clip, bathing it in the fading light of a lakeside sunset. Available on VESPERIAN's YouTube channel.

Named after the Berlin district and lake on the city’s south-western edge, the track is quintessential Tschaikowsky & Kann: ethereal, weightless and light on its feet, yet with real musical depth beneath its drifting surface.
“Journey Through Wannsee” is the last taste of the duo’s debut album A New Way To Life, out next Friday, 23 October, via Vesperian. | Edit & Visual Effects by @crystalspotlight

TSCHAIKOWSKY & KANN: pre-order for debut album A New Way to Life starts today / two new songs, “Blaue Stunde” and “I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway” out now

Vesperian is pleased to announce that the pre-order for Tschaikowsky & Kann's debut album, A New Way To Life, opens today. To mark the occasion, the duo also releases two new, standalone songs, "Blaue Stunde" and "I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway", available now on all digital platforms.
Following their acclaimed maxi single I Thought This Was Going To Be My Year, Niklas Tschaikowsky (guitars) and Leonhard Kann (synthesiser, drum computer, field recordings) continue to chart their own course through electro-acoustic terrain, where guitar lines and analogue synth textures fold into one another, and tape hum and outdoor field recordings blur the line between studio and landscape.
That approach has already won Tschaikowsky & Kann admirers well beyond their home scene.

Paul Riedl of Blood Incantation described their sound as:
"Amazing & pastoral electro-acoustic synthesis as only barefooted Germans can do, with the added bonus of natural soundscape textures via field recordings and the wonderful hum of analog tape. A delightfully bohemian blend of Först-ian Kosmische á la Cluster/Harmonia (as if played by Popol Vuh), the worldly folk meditations of Mo Boma & John Fahey, and the environmental atmosphere of Japanese gods Yutaka Hirose or Hiroshi Yoshimura. Simply the highest recommendation."

With "Blaue Stunde" and "I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway", Tschaikowsky & Kann offer another glimpse of A New Way To Life, due for release on October 23, 2026 via Vesperian.

A video to “I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway” will be released in the following days. Stay tuned!
