3 year anniversary (1/3) • August 30th — Good Morning Editors! 💕 — Over the course of the almost decade I’ve been on Instagram, I never had an entire fandom that was full of compassion, acceptance, understanding and empathy until I met you, Drewds! I once read, that “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” And had I not created this page, I would have missed out on a long list of things. But mainly, your unwavering support. I created this page, during the pandemic when the world shutdown and we were all isolated. Terrified. Panicked. I created this page, because I needed an outlet. A place where I could focus solely on the character who made me who I was, up until that point, my entire childhood. But what I didn’t realize was the hold this reimagining—of a character so loved across generations—would have on me. — #nancydrew #thecwnancydrew #drewcrew

3 year anniversary (2/3) • August 30th — I said earlier this month, that Carson and Nancy were my favorite ship but Nancy Drew herself, is my favorite character. She is steadfast, determined, witty, caring and above all, fearless. She is willing to do what ever it takes to solve a case and protect her friends and family. And she is 1000% not afraid to show emotion and feeling. When I started the show on day 1, I was grappling with the fact that my aunt—who I’ve looked up to my entire life—was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer’s Disease and I’m grieving the loss of who she was while she is still living. It is hard to separate my feelings from reality, because all of the stages are showing up out of chronological order; In turn, I have taken a handful of hiatuses over the past year and a half to cope as her illness has progressed rapidly and they have helped on my bad days and motivated me to post on my good days. Even when those days didn’t last for long, I noticed and I’m humbled. The weekend before last, my family and I spent time with my aunt and we overheard a conversation she was having with her brother-in-law. She saw my sisters and I sitting together across the room and he turned to her and said “Do you know them?” And she replied, “Yeah, I know them. They are my friends!” And this made us so emotional. It made us aware that whether she knows who we are or not; deep down, she knows that we care for her and will do everything we can to support her. And that made the weight I was feeling dissipate—I’m doing something right after all. Just recently and thanks to the Drew Crew Writers, I came to the realization, that grief isn’t a solo act. It’s not an isolated event in your life. “You are never alone in grief. Someone is always standing by your side.” You have a whole patchwork of individuals in your life who will step up when called, shoulder the pain, and let you lean on them when times get tough. And I thank all of you for that. For being part of the community I can lean on. — #nancydrew #thecwnancydrew #drewcrew

3 year anniversary (3/3) • August 30th — For standing by my side when times were tough, when things got better and for always knowing the right things to say on days that you didn’t know I needed it. For making me laugh and for knowing me to my core—I will not hesitate to protect you, I will not hesitate to defend you and I will not hesitate to step up when you call, just as Nancy would. An article I read last week, that featured us Drewds, said “Mostly, though, I’m going to miss the network of Drewds—the Nancy Drew fandom—for being a space with its doors wide open to whoever wishes to enter.” As the weeks tick by without Nancy Drew, I’m going to always be thankful for the time we had, the camaraderie we’ve cultivated and the sheer willpower we’ve harnessed to make it to this point together, unfazed. I love you all, and I am so grateful for the impact each of you has had on my life so far. You are truly the best and I wouldn’t have it any other way. You’ve made an impact whether you notice it or not. What you say, what you do. What you show, matters. Believe that! This family has made me a better person, and I owe it all to you. So thank you, always; forever! 🫶🏻 — • ❤️KMC | #nancydrew #thecwnancydrew #drewcrew

I’ve missed editing and being nostalgic with my childhood shows. It’s going to be hard to follow the schedule I made due to unforeseen circumstances, aka my 10 year old computer calling it quits, but I will try my best to find a way to edit them. 😅 — #qotp : Did your older sister parent you? #aotp : No, she got to be a kid. 😁 — #dedicatedto : those tagged, follow them, you won’t regret it! 💕 — Filter Credit : @kmcnovels ✨💖🙋🏻‍♀️ — • ❤️KMC • #charmed #c #charmedfam #thewb #1x01 #somethingwiccathiswaycomes #1998 #piperhalliwell #phoebehalliwell #sistersister #milestone #followme #hollymariecombs #alyssamilano #editorshelpinghand #kmcedits
