Our wedding day was not what we had planned. Our venue cancelled on us the evening before, and we were devastated. I am immensely thankful to our other vendors who went above and beyond to adapt to the unprecedented situation, as well as our supportive and fabulous friends and family who all rallied and made the night special in its own way.

I’m grateful for all of the little moments that made the wedding uniquely ours: walking down the aisle to a gorgeous acoustic medley of Austin Powers songs, performed by the singular @therebelrabbi . Our grandmas signing our marriage license, and walking down the aisle hand-in-hand. Gizmo performing his ring bearer duties…twice. Our dual prop comedy vows (I swear we didn’t coordinate). Our very serious ballroom dance to Meatloaf, ft. some tasteful gyration and the worm. A surprise Shrek flash mob coordinated by @tsparacio and @deboraheddy123456 ?!?! Getting iced by our college friends. And ending the night with a Hair medley, which @cwe.bonafidecrew absolutely RIPPED, in a very silly homage to The 40 Year Old Virgin. While we didn’t have the sit-down meal or the big dance floor, we had the most important things—our friends, our family, and each other.

They say married life has its own challenges, and while I didn’t expect to have to face those on day one, I feel like the most lucky little bride in the world to be able to have Max as my partner in crime, and laugher, and life. A wedding is one day, and we have a whole lifetime of celebrations ahead of us. Next disco party pending 🪩
