Most of what you’ve seen on screen is from the eyes of those who vacation and visit Hawai’i. HAMMERS, led by our local boys @brchun @that.juju.alexander @kahuapono and @hoobrah_js gives you a glimpse into the lives of the ones who live here, fighting each day not to get priced out of paradise. It may not always be right, but it’s ALWAYS necessary.

An honor to be part of this special project written by @brchun and shot with the scrappiest CAST and CREW in the business. Every one of these hammahz is a master of their craft, and I learned a lot being among them. Shoutout to my right-hand man @michaeltanji for crafting the images in my head and, in true indie fashion, making it happen with duct tape, spit, and gum 😂

Mahalo to @sightandsoundhawaii for the incredible camera package. It let us capture this part of the culture the way we’d only dreamed of. @sundanceorg and @taaforg for supporting Bryson Chun as our Pasifika trailblazer reppin’ straight outta Hawai’i.

The OFFICIAL WORLD PREMIERE for my first two films is set for THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5 at Consolidated Theaters Kahala making it a DOUBLE WORLD PREMIERE EVENT🍿

This has been a long time coming and we’re very excited to get to premiere them side by side.

‘My Love?’ is a 15-minute psychological horror film that will show first followed by my debut feature film ‘Light A Fire In Me’ ( @lightafireinmefilm ).

This will be the biggest night in my career thus far & any support is greatly appreciated.

The most special part of making a movie is the collaborative effort - the ability for so many to bring their passion, love, talent, and experiences to a shared vision. ✨

This crew was hands down the best, most humble, and giving group of creatives we could’ve asked for, and we’re so blessed because of it. The film is as special as it is because of them.

This past weekend we celebrated the film’s recent completion with a private cast and crew screening for those involved in its creation. Though not everyone from our team could be present that evening, the mana of our collective work definitely was. And it was just so nice to reconnect with everyone that came! Thank you all for making it such a special evening.

Mahalo also to @kuumelibakery for the super yummy “man and the tree” cupcakes and tree cake! Mahalo to @inspirationhawaiimuseum for opening up the space to us, and to @keenanbasug for capturing the evening 🙏🏾.
