Lemme tell ya a little secret I learned a long time ago. If you get a chance to be around people that are doing things, or have done things…… and it might be like minded things of your dreams and goals. Do what ever it takes to make it happen. Over the years I’ve been able to attend a few things that light a fire so big in my ass, the transition of events over the next year is crazy to look back on. @treffpunks got me a chance to hang out with a great group of dudes doing some wild things in life. The amount of conversations I got to have, and over heard people having was pretty intense. In the most relaxed cool, fun environment. For being a guys retreat, that also included a bunch of dipshits that still love 30-50 year old shitboxes. (That was all of us) I sure did take in a lot. The next piece of advice, When you find yourself in one of these circles….. shut the fuck up and listen. You can’t learn if you are talking. (Questions are different) That’s what this pic made me thing. Professionals listening to a professional Mr @iamsamdobbins to watch him work for 2 solid days was damn cool. Now, after listening to all of these assholes I wanna find like 15k to throw into one of those shit boxes for next year. #treffpunks Thanks for the invite fellas, pretty stoked to be included in this one.

Treffpunks 2026. What an insane trip. No better way to stress test your old volkswagen than 100 degree heat and california desert hill climbs.
@imsoovertheinternet and @brianscotto thank you for everything, you two really know how to pack 40 dudes into a pool.
Still have so much film to post from this, shot through 7 rolls 🎞️

It’s a little over a week since returning from our trip to Oregon for the techtonics open house show. What a week. We have to give a huge thanks to all the guys up there for putting on the show for the last four years. This has allowed us to really enjoy/explore the Oregon coast each year and it never disappointed. Great friends, great cars, coolest show around and we found some amazing roads that really make for the best road trip you could ask for. Unfortunately, this was the last TT Open House until their 50th anniversary in five years. We will absolutely be there and would love to see even more people make the journey from all over. We can’t say enough about Techtonics, their products, the type of company they run and the great people that they are. Truly the best in the biz!

When driving back from @doublejmotorwerks, Fred noticed his steering wheel was sitting about 45° off center. Once he arrived at @techtonics.tuning and got the car on the lift, he found the culprit: a cracked subframe!

With no replacement subframe on hand, Fred decided reposition the subframe as close to factory as possible and got to work plating the crack with some sheet metal lying around the @techtonics.tuning shop. A massive thanks to @tt.collin for freeing up some space for Fred and lending him his tools to use!

The welds might not be the prettiest but they’ll do the job of getting Fred back home. There’s still a little more research to do on subframe interchangeability but Fred already has plans to swap a 1.4T into his Country, bringing this car one step closer to becoming the ultimate road trip car!

Other people put time out of their schedule to make shit happen so let's do some work.

Bolt check by second set of eyes, fluid fills, leak check and map upload.

Makin some noise soon, but in no hurry.
