Are you a professional ?

Maybe you aren’t and just play for fun,
Maybe you’re already a pro,
maybe, just maybe, you’re one of us —

As @sebi.kiang described in his video,
We are neither beginners nor are we “near the level of the pros”, whatever that means. Perhaps when asked about our level, others may say “Oh he’s not bad, kind of good but not really”.

I remember @pechpongtt saying it’s like being stuck in the blackhole — USATT rating of 2200-2400s, hard to break into the 2500s. I’m happy for those players who are in their own National Teams representing their country, I’m sure it wasn’t easy to get there.

Starting late and not having any systematic support is also hard, but there’s no use whining about that, just gotta play the cards you’ve been dealt with to the best that you can.

Everyday I wake up inspired & thankful that I get to choose what I want to do. It hasn’t been easy to walk a different path — the road less travelled, the unnavigated way. To become the best #tabletennis player that I can be.

Along this journey, I’ve met so many friends, coaches and people who have helped, motivated & inspired me along the way … whether in real life or online

… and many more, to whoever I missed out, thank you no matter how big or small, you have contributed to my journey.

For those who are still reading, thank you for believing in me. Please leave a comment to show your support so I know that you’re here :) And for the doubters, just keep watching 😉

After over a year of no practice sessions… retiring from playing the sport for nearly 3 years, 8 hours on a plane, new venue, this is what I looked like striking some balls

You never really lose it (contrary to popular belief)

However, learning and mastering something for the very first time? Very freaking hard!

Not to be underestimated!

Uncertainty is a huge part of the journey, you WILL doubt yourself

You WILL wonder if you have what it takes

You WILL wonder if what you’re doing is actually correct or not

You WILL have losses and down moments that tempt you to quit

It’s up to you to NEVER QUIT and be stronger than these inevitable emotional roller coasters that getting good at anything, requires

Thank you for reminding of this stuff everyday @hormozi

Stay persistent my brothers and sisters!

You just have to learn to get good, once.

Then you can’t forget it even if you tried to

P:S I still gym 2xWeek and play tennis quite seriously, keeps me in shape 😎
