“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

Five years ago, I walked into LA and told @torinojohnson one thing:

🏆 “I want to help bring a championship to Los Angeles.”

I embraced the role proudly. The Chris Dailey to his Geno Auriemma. So much so that I even positioned my seat on the sideline the same way the legendary Chris Dailey did for decades at UConn.

What people see is game day.

What they don’t see is the role women play behind the scenes in sports.

The unseen hours.
The late-night recruiting calls.
The film sessions.
The academic check-ins.
The emergency phone calls.
The overnight hospital stays with no sleep.
The sacrifices.
The pouring into young women long after the final buzzer sounds.

The work that never makes the stat sheet.

But this journey was never about recognition.

It was about impact.
It was about service.
It was about helping build something that would last.

And together, we did exactly that. Leave it better than you found it. 😎🖤💛

Along with setting priorities comes one tough rule of life: You can’t have everything. You have to make that decision! Excellence is achieved by hard work - this isn’t just entertainment- this is a miracle that you achieve by adjusting your lifestyle. @spectrumsportsnet @lakers This is a snippet. #MarchMadness Can’t wait for y’all to see what we have in store for next season. #WeAreLa #LosAngeles #California #StateUniversity

When a player practices hard once, not much change occurs. When they practice hard day after day, month after month, year after year, a metamorphosis occurs. The same is said to be true for academia! Constant daily challenges will result in small daily changes that you do not see until the weeks and months, even years has passed. Incredible job by my coaching staff, academic advisors and lastly and most importantly the students. #WeAreLa Tag a student and a coach and give them some love!! #Coaching #HonorRoll #WBCA

“ATLANTA -- Cal State LA's women's basketball program has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its academic success in the 2021-22 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls released by the organization on Wednesday.”

The most historic season is school history. The highest seeding @csulawbb history. @nicoleflenna leading the whole @ncaa in 3 point shooting. @lily.buggs winning Freshman of the Year. @jadajohnson1602 leading the conference in rebounding, and one of the best in the country. All the statistics point upward, but the greatest stat is unmeasurable, and that’s the metric of family. Grateful! #WeAreLA 💛🖤🏀
