Today im takin yall to church. The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church has a long-standing history as a cornerstone of faith in Oakland, often serving as a venue for broader community and developments. For example, in 1980 a service at this church led to the creation of another congregation in 1980; the Olivet Institutional Missionary Baptist Church. These congregations are well known for their community service and “come as you are” attitude. The classic west Oakland bump to bar has always been there, and has been skated a fair amount over the last 15 or 20 years. However, clips of this spot are few and far between, so enjoy what I was able to find! No top 10 this week, but still had to honor an east bay gem!
