We had a great afternoon watching a special screening of The Strawberry, an incredibly moving independent film starring Mike Farrell and a brilliant cast.

The Strawberry is a powerful and beautiful reminder of what matters most in life. With extraordinary tenderness and humanity, it explores the healing power of love, the grace of forgiveness, and the courage it takes to face life’s final chapter. It invites us to slow down, cherish the people we love, and recognize the extraordinary beauty in life’s simplest moments. I cannot recommend it highly enough. #family ❤️

This week’s episode will be out soon! But first, we took a field trip with *our* soulmates (Dave and Tucker) to see Parvati and Cirie’s Soulmate Tour live! Featuring pre-show hosting by Cirie’s son, Jared; a tiny Cirie doll that sat between the girls; Mae Martin as the black widow brigade casting director; our favorite drag queen Symone as former black widow, Amanda Kimmel; and a bunch of other Survivor contestants! Also an extremely catchy original song to end the show. 🤩🤩🤩

Nobody makes me smile like two of my favorite people, Tucker and Chef Jurni Rayne. Tucker came down to my Koreatown office this week and we went over to our favorite, @gritznwafflez. We always start with the mouthwatering collard greens dip with homemade tortilla chips. Tuck decided on the chicken tenders, collard greens, and smackin’ mac. I always say I’m gonna get something different, but I can’t help myself because it’s the best catfish I’ve ever had, so I get that every time.

If you’re within 100 miles of Koreatown, you have to find your way to Gritz N’ Wafflez. It is the best homemade soul food in LA and you won’t be disappointed. We love just sitting at the counter watching the magic happen. And the servers are so friendly and attentive you feel like you’re sitting around with family having a great meal and conversation together. They just started having karaoke on Wednesday nights so we have to check that out! It’s near the corner of Vermont and Wilshire and they have free valet parking! #womenownedbusiness #minorityownedbusiness #supportsmallbusiness ❤️👩🏾‍🍳🤤
