POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I just found one of my very favorite Fairytale Houses again - just in time for Storybook Saturday/Sunday!

And let me first note that this is in San Gabriel, not in Alhambra, though the two neighborhoods are close to one another. This system will not let me change it!

Each and every angle of this unusual Tudor Revival has something whimsical and special to offer - be sure to scroll!

Look at that kooky clumpy grass! And that wonderful door! I love the bridge and the large wooden water wheel (apparently the huge real ones are called norias). I can't get enough of this charmer!

I wonder if a laughing gnome lives there? 😂😉

What's your favorite detail?

It was a marvelous day for a goat walk, and it sure is fun going House gazing with four legged friends!

My friend, Goat Yoga Queen Michelle Tritten, of @hellocrittercare, joined me today with her adorable goat children, Hansel and Gretel.

We had a lovely time strolling the streets of Glendale's charming Verdugo Woodlands, an area that's overflowing with storybook surprises. And since it's still Tudor Tuesday, in this post I'm showing you a couple of those cuties - don't miss the cat slide!

But nothing can compare to the cuteness of the goats, who bring smiles to everyone's faces and the excitement in the neighborhood was just so heartwarming and wonderful!

I hope you enjoyed your Tudor Tuesday!

It's been quite a while since I did a classic Tudor Tuesday post, so that's what I'm sharing today!

Here are some tasty Tudor Revivals plus Tudor style cottages with that charming half-timbering detail that I love so much.

These houses always brighten my day!

* Because it's impossible for me to tell where a house is from when posting a mix of houses and neighborhoods, I want to apologize if any of these homes were lost in the January 2025 fires.

“June comes in like a bride, with roses in her hair.” — Lucy Maud Montgomery

As the first light of June spills gently across the garden, roses awaken in a delicate chorus of color and fragrance. Each bloom is a quiet celebration of beauty, grace, and the promise of summer days to come. May this month unfold with charm and serenity, like petals beneath the morning sun.

Originally built in 1980s, this beautiful Carmel cottage called Rosebud cottage went under remodeling in 2000s.
The wisteria blooming add to it charm.
Happy Wisteria season!

It seems like Carmel by the sea is out of this stressful world! It feels like walking in this little village will take all your sadness away!
Wish to visit it this year as therapeutic trip.

The lovely Lilley Hall in Toluca Lake never disappoints! It's already spectacular at Halloween, and then becomes even more so for the year end holidays!

Built in 1927, it was once the home of Joseph J Lilley, an Oscar nominated Paramount Studios music Director.

Current owners built additional space to store all of their elaborate holiday decorations, and they really put a lot of effort into it every year for all of our enjoyment! I hope everyone shows appreciation… I certainly am grateful for their hard work and dedication.

I hope you are staying warm and cozy during these cold holly-daze, and my thoughts and best wishes are going out to everyone in Malibu experiencing the horrible fire there.

On another note, I will soon be offering a Houses of Hollywood 2025 calendar featuring some of my most fabulous finds! Please look out for the link in future posts. I realize I am a tad late getting this out there, but at least it's happening!

Finishing it up, I'm trying to decide whether or not to add holidays since some of you aren't in the US. If you care to provide an opinion, or a preference, I would certainly love to hear it and I thank you!
