There’s no shame in failure.

I’ve been trying to win another @tuesdaynightthunder since 2019, sure I’ve had a few podiums here since then but that’s not why I show up. And man I showed up to win many times and “failed” for various reasons which in the end are all excuses, I just got beat by better racers.

Last night I finally got another, was it hard? Absolutely.

Did I enjoy it?
Most of it haha.

What changed? Nothing.

My point is, I went and failed there so many times to win, never gave up and kept coming back with the same goal.

And yes I know, it’s a local Tuesday night crit, it means nothing to most. But to me, I’m proud of it, I worked for it and executed.

I also cared enough to absolutely give everything I had not to fail again, for the chance, just one single shot at success.

Sometimes in race tactics you have to be prepared to lose to give yourself the opportunity to win, it all came together.

I’m not embarrassed to say I care more than most about a Tuesday night crit. I care a lot.

I see so many people walking around acting like they don’t care, like it’s cool? It’s not cool, it’s lame af.

Winning is the reason I show up. It’s the reason I fail so many of @greghendersonnzl workouts. Thanks bro.

If you’re still reading, you didn’t give up 💪

Playing around with some nasty editsssss. @aa.steele told me about this crit that was happening the other day. Had a blast watching people go fast on bikes. Made me happier than coffee in a mug.
